SUMMARY:FREE first class - Living Human Values: Practical Philosophy for a Modern World (Part 1) - Randburg
DESCRIPTION:Living Human Values is our introductory course in practical philosophy. Its aim is not to increase our knowledge about philosophy\, but to follow in the footsteps of the great philosophers\, putting timeless ideas into practice in everyday life. \nThrough classes\, practical exercises and dialogue\, we draw on the wisdom of world civilisations such as India\, Greece\, Ancient Egypt and Tibet\, and ask what it means for how we think\, choose and live together today. No background in philosophy is needed\, just curiosity and a wish to grow. \nThe first class in Randburg is free\, so you can come and see whether the course is for you before deciding. The full course has three parts and 17 weekly sessions of 2 hours. Part 1 is 6 sessions for R600\, or R300 for students\, under-21s\, pensioners and unemployed people. Parts 2 and 3 (6 and 5 sessions) cost the same. \nCan’t make the first class? You’re welcome to join at session 2 on Thursday 5 November at 19:00\, at the same venue. \nPlease reserve your free seat on Quicket. Questions? WhatsApp us on 076 445 7798.
