River clean up!

earthweb.jpg

Spring is around the corner and there is no better way of celebrating
it than a day in nature taking care of Ferndale Arboretum that is in
pitiful state.

This is a call for all residents and green warriors. A day
of voluntarism that will end up with braai for the volunteers and a
drum circle. Time to wake up this beautiful land of ours to Spring’s
call for rebirth.

Mystical Theatre Team

theatre_game_web.jpg

The Mystical Theatre Team is designed as a magical operation through which the participants proceed to transmutation. Its Ideal is that the spectator should emerge in a different state from where he entered. Based on improvisation, games and creative imagination, it is meant to relieve  stress, to restore energy and send participants and spectators out the door with a smile on their face and a life changing message.

No experience is necessary and all ages are welcome.

Volunteers in the heart of Soweto

sibongile.jpgThe Sibongile Day Center is a non profit organization situated in Dlamini Soweto. The center is working with children from disadvantaged families, promoting early childhood development by giving them quality education and making sure that their safety and security is not compromised.

The center has been operating since 2003 without any financial support, struggling to meet the daily educational and nutritional needs of the 50 children it cares for.  N.A.’s goal is to help the center meet the Department of Social Service’s requirements as this would qualify them for monthly food aid. The requirements are many and include a new classroom, chairs, tables, educational toys, upgrading the children’s restrooms and shade on top of their playground area. In addition to the material support, we welcome volunteers who can come and help us make brighter, safer and healthier the future of these children.
