Time is a gift! PDF Print E-mail

Time is a gift, a precious  spring   given to us since the moment of our birth. Every single act we carry requires time. There is nothing that can substitute time, it is entirely priceless. Nevertheless we have a constant tendency of considering time as graded. In reality it is like “killing time”.

Our time is  limited.  Although we may feel we do not have enough money, nevertheless we have more money than time.  It is possible to make more money. But no matter what we do we cannot make more time.
Time is to be acted upon. Meaning that we cannot save time since time cannot be stored. Yesterday’s time has been used and is forever gone.

If we could manage time properly, we would be able to control our life, our stress, our energy. We would progress at work, at our personal and family life.

Not organizing the time in our life creates casualties in:
Α) time we spend searching for things
Β) physical and emotional energy
C) psychological and mental peace

For anything we want to achieve in life, time is the most important and restraining factor. The how we use our time in the present is maybe the most important  indication of how happy, successful and efficient we can be in the future. If you wish to be happy, to have abundance and be balanced, the first important step you have to take is to start with an honest evaluation of the time in your life.
Therefore, daily time management demands practise and persistence.

Some basic steps of time management
1) Chose the goals you want to achieve in life.
2) Have a daily list with all you have to do.
Schedule your work and work on your schedule.
3) Observe the rule 80/20:
In a list of 10 activities, two of them will be the most important. Find them and do them.
4) Schedule your time.
Discover which are your most creative hours and schedule to do your most important tasks during this time.

5) Overcome procrastinating things now.
When we chose procrastinating, the result is unhappiness.
How affected are you by procrastinating?
Have you ever left for later and later and later your most important missions because you are busy with less important things? Do you hope to have more time and better mood in the future to start  doing your tasks? Do you feel you are threatened by a crisis everytime a dead line is approaching? Do you constantly doubt when it is time to make a choice? If you recognize yourself in these situations, then there is a high possibility that procrastinating has taken over the control. In this case you have to control it, before this bad habit  takes opportunities from you and potentially destroys your relationships and your life.
